FEATURES
This classic "Dutch Colonial" Victorian-era house is on the Historic Register for Seattle's Central District just south of E Madison St and Capitol Hill. It was built by a contractor by the name of Severt Schultz in 1902, and is associated with an earlier discoverer of Yukon gold by the name of Carmack.

The house is immense, and has rooms on all three floors (not including the basement). Due to its extremely large size it must stay within about a 10-block radius of Providence Hospital, near which it currently resides. Our pricing is based on a "local move only" scenario, and so wire costs, tree trimming, and other move-specific expenses are the client's responsibility. The house has tons of space for a large family, or could even be repurposed as a multi-family home or business location.

You will be buying the historic value of the house, its general layout and structural merits, and some amazing Dutch Colonial details such as the main staircase and the Victorian fireplace. However, the house has not been maintained for many years and will require a major renovation, likely stripping it down to stud level in order to bring it back to its former glory. It is rare to find a house this grand, and with this much stately form and spaciousness. It is a dusty canvas which can be restored into a masterpiece if put into the right skillful hands.

Keep in mind, that the house's size also contributes to the fact that it cannot be moved far from where it now sits, due to the wires, trees, and other overhead obstructions. However, it is always possible to research lots near-enough to where it is in order to find a new home for it! Please contact our Seattle/Everett office to seek more information and arrange for tours.
