This house is currently brick, and therefore much more costly and difficult to move with the facade as-is. Nickel Bros. strongly believes in giving this house the best chance of being saved, so we have decided to make it one of our first "Project Houses." We have intentionally kept the cost of adopting (and moving) the house to a minimum compared to our other Seattle house stock. Just $70,000.00 delivered to your local Queen Anne receiving lot location!!
However, this is under the condition that you take the house on as a "project" in terms of the prep work for the house move. We can give you a step-by-step guide to how to strip out the basement and prepare the house for our loading it onto the steel beams. In addition, the brick siding will have to be removed. You may choose to replace it with cedar shingle siding, lap-siding, or even "board-and-batten" Hardie board siding as another affordable alternative. We are also pricing it to move only the main two-story portion of the house (see aerial photos). It is possible that the rear two-story addition can be included in the move at no extra charge, but it depends on the delivery route and road widths, etc. However, moving the right-hand brick addition (sans brick) would be at an additional cost and also may be limited based on delivery route. We suggest you take a look at the house and determine what is worth moving and what is more valuable to leave behind and add on as a new addition! We will be excited to see what your ideas are on this project house! Please contact our office and have them page Jeff McCord, Nickel Bros. House Moving's Seattle Representative, for more information. |
