A digester on the move from Granville Island to Kitimat back in 1968

Several years earlier he had arrived in British Columbia as an employee of a Manitoba based moving firm that wanted to expand into the western part of Canada. "House moving wasn't that uncommon in the prairies" recalls Henry Nickel. "Homes and barns were always being moved. It was and still is, an economical way of relocating that has been around for decades." Henry Nickel and his brother Richard eventually bought the British Columbia operation. Hard work and a keen eye for customer needs quickly made it a success. |
