PNE Show Homes
2001 Show Home
2000 Show Home
This 3500 sq. ft. house was slowly moved from its location on the PNE grounds to the waterfront. The two storey house is 12.5 metres wide and 23 metres long, and in combination with the truck and other moving paraphernalia weighed about 100 tonnes. This is old hat for Nickel Bros., moving approximately 150 buildings per year around the province, and has been moving the PNE prize home for the past 25 years. The new owner, is planning to use the house as a "weekend getaway."

>1998 Show Home
Residents along the Haney waterfront were treated to quite a sight as a large house moved slowly upriver and docked at the Northview lot at the bottom of 224 Street in Port Haney. The house was the PNE prize home, won this summer by Port Coquitlam resident "Debbie Wallace". It was barged up the Fraser River and moved overnight Nov. 17/98 to is new location in the Falcon Ridge subdivision. The PNE Prize Home, built by Radisson Homes, was once again entrusted to Nickel Bros. House Moving Ltd. for relocation. The move from the PNE grounds took around 40 hours in total, including barging, loading and unloading and spotting on the new site. Murray Nickel of Nickel Bros., said "Size here was critical, it was a large building and required extra planning". "All in a days work". Debbie Wallace couldn't be happier. She loves everything about the house and says it should be ready to move into by Christmas.
