These two post-Victorian historic homes are being offered for a local house move as a matched pair. Truly original and chocked full of beautiful architectural details, these houses would make for amazing historical rentals or vacation homes, or as urban architectural gems within the City of Monroe itself. We have priced the homes at $150,000 if moved at the same time ($75,000 each). As they are significant as a pair, we hope they can be kept together. Please inquire for price if only moving one.

The Buck Family in 1900 included Siralpha A. Buck and his wife Adeline. Beginning in 1894, he employed many men at Buck’s Shingle Mill on Woods Creek and provided utilities for the city through his Monroe Water and Light Company. Buck Island, in Al Borlin Park, is named after him.

The two Buck homes where the family lived are still standing at 143 and 135 Ann Street. They are exact twins of each other and were crafted in a simple farmhouse style. They have wrap-around porches supported by columns, bay windows downstairs and narrow windows upstairs. The historical society is launching an effort to move the homes before they are torn down for multi-family housing.
Please call your local office today for more information and to arrange to view these historical beauties!

Here is an article about the House Rescue efforts on these wonderful houses!

NOTE: If width is a factor along your destination route it is possible to cut off the side porch (saving columns and architectural details and reinstalling them later). This would reduce the width to approximately 28 feet wide (from 34 feet).

This traditional home has a nice, wide open living plan with a huge living room which opens to the kitchen. The bedroom sizes are generous, and the Master Bedroom has a palatial walk-in closet with plenty of storage.

Currently it is set up as a split entry with a half-staircase going both up and down from the front door. If you add back a full daylight basement, you would double the square footage to 2,600 sq/ft. If you keep it a single story and put it on a crawlspace, then you would simply move the front door up to the same height as the living room and fill in the floor where the half-stairs currently are. This would add a bit of square footage to the already-large living room!

This house is of good construction quality, and it has plenty of light, and generous room for your daily activities.

This house is called “The 12th Man House” because it is located in Renton, WA near the Seattle Seahawks training facility!

This perfect ‘entry-level’ home will qualify as a mother-in-law or DADU unit (typically less than 800 or 1,000 sq/ft) for your primary property, or function as a guest cottage or perfect for your vacation property. At 720 sq/ft, this house can fit on most move routes and within the setbacks of most standard lots.

The living room of this home is generous for the overall size of the house and the two bedrooms are smaller but functional.

If you are looking for a good value but also a little extra space, build a full daylight basement under the house. Even if you don’t finish out the basement in the first six months, capturing that extra 720 sq/ft under the house will add ‘instant equity’ to your project.

This massive Waterfront Home has to be seen to be believed… Built in 2003, this Modern Craftsman Revival looks as though it could have been built in 1912, but has all of the modern conveniences you could imagine!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy a manor-sized Craftsman & Carriage House and move the buildings to your own waterfront lot anywhere in the protected waterways of the Northwest. From the San Juan Islands, to Vancouver, BC, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and beyond, this home will fulfill any property owner’s dream!

In this stunning 4,126 sq/ft home there is 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms as well as an Entry Hall, Living Room, Dining Room, Den/Office, Reading/sitting areas, Family room, Kitchen (with eating space), Pantry, Utility room, 2-Car garage.

The primary suite includes a custom window that dips down to preserve the view, and a bedroom-sized walk-in closet. It also has a massive bathroom paradise with a Jacuzzi tub, a custom tiled shower, and a separate water closet for privacy. Adjacent to this bedroom is a sitting/reading room with a fireplace.

The features of this estate seem almost endless. Some of the amenities are three gas fireplaces, heat pump, wired for Generator, built-In vacuum, ceiling fan(s), french doors, security system, skylight(s), vaulted ceiling(s), and walk-in closet(s).

We have recently learned that the carriage house is also available to be moved at the same time (some additional costs will apply — inquire for details). This carriage house has a spacious one bedroom apartment with an open plan kitchen and living area and a luxury bathroom. There is also a 2-car garage underneath which will be moved along with the upper story.

This spectacular home is valued at over $2.5-million for the house alone based on a recent sale, and $1.9-million tax value on house in 2023. For a fraction of its value, the home can be delivered to your lot.

If you add an additional daylight basement level instead of crawlspace your total livable square footage would rise from 4,126 sq/ft — with up to 2,478 sq/ft daylight basement — to a total of 6,604 sq/ft. This allows for a lot of flexibility to the spaces you create for yourself.

Redmond Moose House

This remarkable Brick Tudor style house is a one-of-a-kind home with gobs of character and unusual features. The most prominent character feature is a lodge-style “Moose Room” (see photos) giving rise to the name of the house, the “Redmond Moose House.”

At 1,480 sq/ft on the main floor, this house is already spacious and well laid out. However, as you will see in the photos there is an unfinished attic space that is easily convertible to additional living space (and accessible via a real staircase). In addition, one could place the house on a full daylight basement to double the square-footage to roughly 2,900 sq/ft.

The interesting home is packed full of beautiful details like hardwood inlaid floors, leaded glass windows, charming tiled kitchen & bathroom and tons of built-ins and cubbies. You will not find a house anywhere else in the world that is quite like this!

We would suggest to remove the brick and siding with another material would be a cost-effective choice in this case and would make the price more negotiable.

We *love* this house and think you will love it too! Please contact the Washington office for a tour! Located in Redmond, WA, this is *STRICTLY* a local-only move. If you have property in Redmond or If you know anyone who has property in Redmond, please let them know about this one-of-a-kind find!
